My son has Tourette's syndrome and I am wondering if this qualifies him to have an emotional support animal?

I live in an apartment complex that does not allow pets. My son was recently diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome. I am wondering if this diagnosis will qualify him for an emotional support animal, as my dog helped calm my tics when I was a child ( I have Tourette's also).
