Why is it that we are conditioned to call Neo-Libs "liberals"?

Hey, they don't want to be called Liberals or Progressives anymore, everyone is on to them with those...I guess we'll have to call them socialists, marxists, fascists, trotskyists and other "ists" in the meantime...
