My boyfriend has a habit?

I think it would be called a tic? Well, I'll catch him blinking alot and nodding his head up and down repetitively. He'll tilt his head and keep repeating the actions but when he sees me he stops. I asked him why he does it he says he doesn't know and I asked if he knows what he is doing he says yes, so I want to help him out.
