If anything not supported by science is irrational then aren’t all religions and even many atheists irrational?

Science and religion would be considered irrational since event till this day we know very little about how the world works. We observe things like gravity yet we cannot explain it. We go by faith that gravity is such a force that allows us not to fly out into space. The human mind cannot comprehend certain things, therefore we must go by faith that everything we do and all that we discover has a meaning. Certainly we are far from being rational. Yet it is better to believe that there is a God and that we shall live for ever, than to take a chance and not believe and find out it is true and perish in hell fire. Peace.
