Does anyone remember the name of this movie?

Movie/short movie from around the 80's where a bunch of teenagers go to a lake to party and there's this thing in the water (looks like pitch/tar) that swallows them? I thought it was an episode from 'the tales from the crypt' or something like that but I cannot find it anywhere... does it ring any bells?
